What In The World?

This Is A Time To Stand Together.

Much of what I write in this today will offend many people but I believe it has to be said. 

I thought I would check in and see how you are all doing.  These past few weeks and even months have been strange to say the least.  COVID19 and all it has brought has changed everything.  I don’t care what people say about where it came from - as far as I am concerned it came straight from the pit of hell!  Satan has tried to shut churches and kill people.  Then he tried with riots after a particular murder.  Now he is using the race card to try and turn people against each other.  When is the church going to  wake up and take its stand?  Some churches have, but we need to stand together, putting our denominations and differences away!  Christians united in the love of God is stronger than any force that comes against us, unless of course, you are only pretending to be a christian. The main thing that should unite us is Jesus Christ. Where is your church putting Jesus - is he the go to person, or just some kind of nice chap that once lived to help people?  Harsh questions but we need to stop pussy footing around. Right now is a time where we can unite and show the true love of our Saviour to those who are hurting, scared, mourning and feeling totally lost.  How will the world know who we are if we look and act the same as them?  

It says in John 13:35 Tree of Life Version (TLV)

35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”   So, do your neighbours know that you are His disciple?  Do you love your sister and brothers in Christ regardless of their denomination?  Are you united to see God’s love flow into your community?  How has this world-wide event affected your life?  Many people who live alone have died and only just been found because of the lack of contact with the outside world due to the lockdown!  Many people have committed suicide because of the fear of the unknown!  What are we doing to help?  How are you coping?  We cannot let people go to hell because we are in fear?  If you are full of fear I have to ask you - Where is God's perfect love in you?

KJV 1 John 4 verses 18 & 19: 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us.  Praying should be the first thing we do.  Not whining, or begging, but in confidence that our prayer will be heard and answered. 

LUKE 21 VERSE  36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.  God decided from the very beginning that he wanted relationship with mankind AND we were instructed to pray, to be in communication with Him always - and look what we have done!  History shows us to be self-seeking, fear mongering, rebellious and now we are in a stage of no respect and no moral values whatsoever. Many of us individually want to change things - but one person cannot do as much as many who are united.  God did NOT MAKE DENOMINATIONS; he did not make what happens in a lot of churches.  Man made liturgies, man made ceremonies are not God’s way! His ways are far superior to any we can invent!!  Where does it say in the bible to venerate Mary?  Where in the bible does it say pray to a saint? Where in the bible does it say hate this or that person or group of persons? Where in the bible does it say sinning is fine with God?  The answer is nowhere!  When you venerate Mary you are putting her above God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.  Why do you think praying to a saint is okay? We pray in one name only  and that is in the name of Jesus Christ our Saviour.  Why do some church still pray for the dead who were members?  It is too late to pray when someone has died - people need prayer right now while they are living. Why are so many christians murmuring about what is going on instead of shouting out about the injustice! In my country, when you say you are a christian you are either told you are intolerant or that you hate homosexuals! None of that is true.  I love people.  I do not have to love what they do.  I believe it says in the bible it is a sin what they do and I would like to help them understand why I believe it.  That is not being intolerant and that is not hating! Hatred comes from satan, and yes he does exist along with his cohorts. Remember he took one third of the angels with him when he was thrown out of heaven to earth. His mission is to do what we are seeing right before our very eyes: 

JOHN 10: 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.  You see, satan has always stolen what is good from people.  He wanted to be God and even in all his finery and great position - it was never enough.  He was thrown out of heaven to earth and this is his domain.  Don’t think I am talking about fairy tales here, this is the truth, and one day we will all be facing the TRUTH.  The TRUTH is a person - Jesus Christ!   That is why satan the enemy cannot stand him because satan is the accuser of the brethren.  He has done a great job so far in accusing christians and christians have done an even better job in agreeing with him!!  I get told that I can choose what I want and so can they.  That is true.  But what we choose to do with our lives will affect what happens to us - sometimes here but most definitely after we die.  This is NOT it folks.  Life on earth is only a visit before going to somewhere better or worse, depending on what you choose to believe. I had an experience during childbirth where I had to be resuscitated because I had stopped breathing more than once.  I KNOW that there is life after death!!  You cannot take away my experience just because it hasn’t happened to you.  So, this world today is right on schedule - heading to the return of Jesus!  When is the church going to wake up and go back to its roots.  The church in Acts 2 had the right idea and lived what they believed because they believed in Jesus Christ who died for them and was resurrected by his heavenly Father. They believed that the Holy Spirit gave them greater ability to have compassion and love toward each other.  They believed!  Much of the church today does not believe, or they have twisted the word of God to fit what they want to believe. Much of todays church does not believe because it does not suit them!  Much of the church has bowed to public pressure, group pressure, minority pressure until it now has become a minority group itself instead of the life giving, abundant in love family of God it set out to be.  Here is a reminder of what church is all about: 

Acts 2 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.  40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.  41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. 

42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.   43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.  44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;   45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.   46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,  47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.   So when we hear that the church is declining it is doing so because it is not following the instructions given to in the bible.  

Remember this scripture from GENESIS 1 VERSE  1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  

And from John 1 : 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  If a church cannot believe the basics then is is not a God-fearing church but a man made collection of people who have chosen which parts of the bible they want to believe.  That is not church!   

Bowing to popular pressure is not what church is meant to do.  Church is meant to heal the broken, not let them break everyone else to fit into their brokenness. Churches who are cosy in their buildings, not reaching out to their community is not church as it was meant to be.  Church is not like the film ‘Field of Dreams’ where there is a quote that says ‘ If you build it, he will come or they will come’.  Firstly it is not we the people who build the church, it is God who builds his church. Secondly, once it is built by man - they will not come; why would they? No matter where you meet, if you are not being shod with the shoes of the gospel of Christ and going into the community sharing the good news, they will not know to come!!  This is not Hollywood!  Church is not a setting to act out something in.  Church is a collection of broken people being healed  by a loving, compassionate God.  Jesus did not die for the church  - he died for the whole world!  

Church is not a holy huddle that meets on certain days - it is a collective of people who should be sharing the good news of redemption to those who are lost and broken and we should be bringing healing to those who need it.  We are a broken world and this broken world is doing its utmost to obliterate its Creator God from all existence.  The only thing wrong with that is that the Creator is the only one that can fix this brokenness.  He is the one who will never be obliterated because he is the Creator!  If you make a jug from porcelain it cannot mend itself if it gets broken - but the one who made it can! Stop being gods and let the real God into your life. Become who he meant for you to become in the first place.  Don’t let the influence of the enemy pull you down into the depths of despair but let God lift you up our of the miry clay and mold you into the beautiful creation you were always meant to be. Turn away from all the man made idolatry and worship the one and only true God.  The world is turning away from God into oblivion - do not join them but rise above them. Stand up against the enemy because the world who does not yet know God only has those who believe in God to do that for them. Where is your voice? Where is your action? Where is your love for your neighbour?  Instead of joining in the bandwagon and calling political parties this and that, stand up and be counted for who you believe in - God!  There will be no Republican, Democrats, Liberals, Conservatives, About, Scottish National Party in God’s Kingdom!  There is only One Kingdom and that is the Kingdom of God!  Grow up and stand up and be counted for God!
